The website site seems to be out of date. There are no trains at all on from this station on a Sunday. Living close by I regularly have to tell people who have turned up expecting to get to Wigan or Kirkby
Still better than skelmersdale railway.
No cycle rack on any stations on this line or WiFi on trains or stations. We are becoming a 3rd rate country
The station, going towards Kirkby has a working phone on the platform. There are many stairs on this side. The trains only tend to run every hour, there is a cafe in Pimbo Nursery though.
This train station represents the bare minimum that a train station could be.** There is no ramp/wheelchair access to the Kirby bound platform. **There are no staff, no ticket machines, no announcements, just very basic shelter. Some trains are too long to fit into the station, and when this happens you can only join the front carriages of the train.
